Visiting the Blackford Games
You are here : Home/Visiting the Blackford Games

The Blackford Highland Games takes place annually on the last Saturday in May at the Keir and Cawdor Games Park in Blackford Village. If you are arriving by car, free parking is available on site. For those travelling by public transport, there are regular bus services from Stirling and Perth, and the nearest train station is Gleneagles, just a short taxi ride away.

Campervans are welcome to stay overnight in Highland Games field. There is no charge for overnight parking (just pay normal entry to the games in advance or on the day), but spaces do need to be booked in advance so that we know to expect you. Please email info@blackfordhighlandgames.co.uk with your contact details and vehicle information or use our contact form. Please note that there are no facilities available, and parking is on the back of the games field. If the weather is poor and the ground becomes very wet, it may not be possible to accommodate vehicles.

Visit Tullibardine Distillery

Visitors to the Blackford Highland Games are warmly encouraged to visit Tullibardine Distillery, one of our valued sponsors, located right in the village. The distillery offers fascinating tours and tastings, giving you the chance to experience their award-winning Scotch whisky and learn about traditional whisky making. Booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment, especially on busy days such as the Highland Games.

Places to stay

There is limited bed and breakfast accommodation in Blackford itself, including Middleton House B&B, but a wider range of options is readily available in the nearby town of Auchterarder, including The Forge B&B, one of our valued sponsors. Duchally Country Estate is also just a short drive from Blackford, offering comfortable hotel accommodation in a scenic setting.
